Temporary supportsÁÙʱ֧³Å
Allow here, unless measured or itemized elsewhere in these Bill of Quantities, for all necessary temporary supports including, inter alia, shoring, propping, strutting, planking and strutting, sheet piling, etc. whether for the support of excavation, new work under construction or of existing buildings and existing slopes. All such temporary supports shall be designed by the General Contractor to the approval of the LDI and the Local Authorities. The General Contractor shall be responsible for its safety throughout the period of the Works and no indication of approval or disapproval of such temporary supports by Symantec or any of the Symantec’s representatives shall be interpreted as in any way reducing the General Contractor's responsibility in this respect. Should Symantec in lieu of the General Contractor subsequently undertake to provide drawings detailing the requirements for temporary supports and should Symantec obtain the approval of the Authority to these proposals, then the General Contractor shall construct the temporary supports in accordance with such drawings at no extra cost, as if they were his own design.

A detailed temporary lighting design will be required for approval within 10 days of appointment for approval by and their Project Manger.

The signed off mock ups would be the quality benchmark of all relevant GC works in this project. No further work can commence without a Start Work notice from G&T. All delays and the cost of delay that result from inadequate mock ups will lie with the GC.
